During this week, I learned a lot about humpback whales. I learned about how photo IDs of their tails can be used to study the population and how important is the Gulf of Chiriqui for these whales during the breeding season.
It was such an incredible and unforgettable experience to see competitive groups of 12 to 15 individuals fighting for a female. I heard males singing so loud that i could heard then without the hydrophone!
Each and every one of the aspects that are evaluated are important and useful to take measures in the management and conservation of this population.
